Call Out Epic (Kaskade Mashup) – Kaskade VS. Sandro Silva and Quintino

Kaskade’s set at Coachella was an incredible performance of epic proportions. I’ve seen Kaskade a few times before, and he’s always put on a good show, but nothing like this. You could really tell that he spent a lot of time working on the mashups for his set, mixing his signature floaty vocal tunes seamlessly with nasty beats with drops that came out of NOWHERE. Most notably for me were the unreleased Llove (Dada Life Remix) & his Turn It Down/Toulouse Mashup. Truly one of the most impressive sets I’ve seen and I can’t wait for what’s to come as he embarks on his Freaks of Nature tour. I’ll definitely have to catch him in Vegas Memorial Day weekend.

milkman fragments EP

MMMM, Milky. Milkman aka Gregg Luskin released his new EP today, Fragments. It’s a refreshingly original sound from Milkman, who is mainly known for his epic mashups that grew to be Isla Vista’s college party anthems. Fragments is totally different and new, full of awesome hard-hitting electro beats, no lyrics, just the bunse-ing & drops that make you want to jump around and go crazy. Reminds me a bit of Knife Party and Porter Robinson. Can’t wait to see more from this guy, he’s already built up a huge following on the East Coast. My personal favorite is Revelry with its funky saxophone horns. Go grab a cookie, sit back, and relax… the Milkman has arrived.

I have compiled the second electro/house/club tunes mini mix in the Ready for The Weekend series to get you pumped up for the weekend and push through the final stretch of the day, whether you are studying in Davidson Library or at stuck at the office. This time I have included a Avicii & Kelis mashup that, while not a perfect mashup, I couldn’t resist posting it because it is pretty fucking massive. OoOoOoOoOooh, dis is nice. It’s a mashup of one of my favorite house songs, Till Tonight (Laidback Luke), and David Guetta & Avicii’s massive new house hit Sunshine, so it’s basically a vocal version of it by some guy called Pixel Cheese. He he. Jump up & down a bit.
